Jean-Jacques Gaudel

The artist Jean-Jacques Gaudel has moved through many stages in his long life: Born in France and trained as a mechanical engineer, his path initially led to geophysics within Europe and to Indonesia and New Guinea. He first became acquainted with photography at the age of 10 when he was given a camera; it later became a constant companion on his overland travels from North through Central and South America. During this trip he met his wife Rachel and has lived with her in Alabama, USA ever since. After a while, he began to devote himself exclusively to art, hardly missing any medium.
